Anthony Soleau

Co-Director / Pit Caption Head / Webmaster

One of the three co-founders of Motor City Percussion, which originated in 2002, Anthony is in charge of the pit ensemble as well as creating and maintaining the organization’s official website.

Anthony graduated from John Glenn High School located in Westland, MI in 1999 after being involved in the marching band and winter percussion ensemble for 3 years. He went on to college and, in December of 2003, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship from Eastern Michigan University. During that time he joined Eastside Fury in the fall of 2001. The ensemble went on to take the WGI Bronze Medal in PIO in 2002 and the WGI Gold Medal in PIO in 2004.  Anthony also took the Gold Medal at the 2004 MCGC mallet percussion individuals competition playing an arranged version of "Parody" by Jesse Monkman.

In addition, he has been the pit instructor at John Glenn High School (1 season), Livonia-Franklin High School (4 seasons), and Novi High School (3 seasons) during their fall marching band seasons.  He has also instructed pit for G-Force Percussion Theater (1 season) and Novi Winter Percussion (currently in 4th season).

Anthony currently resides in Westland, MI and works for P.F. Chang's China Bistro. He is a member of the Vic Firth Educational Team.
